March 2016 Practice Schedule [Updated 3/9/2016]

15 Purple takes 2nd out of 28 teams!

After playing 9 matches over a long, snowy weekend, 15 Purple came home with 2nd place medals in the Gold Division with a final recored of 7-2!  The team played some incredible matches and experienced sweet revenge against their President's Day tournament "rival" -- Fusion Rockford 15 Navy.  Last year the team lost to Fusion Rockford 14 Navy in the final championship match leaving them with a 2nd place finish in the Gold Division.  This year, the team lost one match to them in regular pool play on Saturday, but finally defeated them in the semi-final match!   15 Purple then went on to face Chicago Juniors 15-1 for the Championship match.  It was an incredibly intense and close match.  First game was 29-27, 15 Purple; followed by 20-25, Chicago Juniors; and the final game was 14-16 with the Windy City girls pulling ahead to take the win.

It was a 4 day run that saw the 14 purple make huge gains in their on- court performance. The first weekend of the League was immediately following the Season Opener, but then came a month of practices. Those practices paid off!

Congratulations to all of the Wisconsin Ice teams that competed in the Presidents Day Spectacular this past weekend (February 13-15). Our teams represented Ice very well and they enjoyed much success in this 3-day tournament at the Wisconsin Dells Center.

Congratulations to our Ice 17s teams that reported their success in the UW-Oshkosh tournament on February 14 as follows:

  • 17 White - 1st in Silver Playoffs
  • 17 AJ - 1st in Consolation Braket

Note from Badger Region Volleyball Association Office:

The High Performance Program information has been posted on the region web page.  http://www.badgervolleyball.org/juniorhighperformance.aspx
The tryout schedule is posted on the web page.

Several of our Wisconsin Ice players have tried out in past years for the High Performance Program and have made it to the camp. A couple of our girls competed at the National High Performance Tournament in the past. They found it to be a worthwhile, educational, and fun program. See the link above for more information.

Please see our Wisconsin Ice Facebook page for pictures of our Ice teams. You can add pictures of your team on the page for our whole club to enjoy.
